Company Development
Peter Mager founded the company Nordenia Kunststoffe Peter Mager KG in 1966. He had the idea of producing plastic bags instead of wire and plastic packaging for the peat industry. The company, which started off with eight employees, has developed into one of the leading films companies in Europe, with over 3,000 employees today. |

 1966: Founded as NORDENIA Kunststoffe Peter Mager KG
1987: Change of corporate form to Nordenia Verpackungswerke AG in a twin function as the holding company for the NORDENIA Group, which was created following the takeover of CITO (Halle) and M&W (Gronau), and as the operating company for the Steinfeld factory
1989: First overseas company founded in America
1992: Change of corporate form to NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG as a financial and management holding company
1993: First foreign productions in Europe (Spain and Hungary)
1997: Production is started in Asia
2001: Company founder Peter Mager becomes Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Ralph Landwehr is the Chairman of the Executive Board
2003: Acquisition of Slavnika / Production is started in Russia (ZAO NORDENIA SLAVNIKA)
2006: The funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management LLC are the new main shareholder of the NORDENIA Group
2007: With its affiliate NORDENIA (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG has for the first time a 100 percent equity participation in Asia due to the takeover of shares from its previous joint venture partner
2007: NORDENIA opens new Research & Development Center
2010: NORDENIA announces issuance of €280 million corporate bond |
 Development of the Equity Capital
 1998: Increase in equity capital by nominally DM 1 million to DM 43 million
1999: Share splitting 3 : 1 and conversion of capital stock to euro; increase in equity capital
from company funds to EUR 25.8 million
2000: Increase in equity capital by EUR 2.58 million to 28.38 million individual shares at an accounting par value of EUR 1 |
