Film manufacturer opens new production plant
NORDENIA DEUTSCHLAND Lohne Makes Room for Further Expansion
Steinfeld/Greven, Oct 21, 2009. NORDENIA DEUTSCHLAND Lohne now has three times as much space as it did at its former site. The subsidiary of NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG – a global manufacturer of flexible packaging, technical films and product components – moved into a new building in Steinfeld. The plant produces such products as seat cover and masking films for the original equipment market (OEM) and for workshops and body shops. Thanks to the new facility, the company can store raw materials and packaging materials on site and operate a third printing press for an existing conversion line.The film manufacturer supplies products primarily to customers in France, England and Germany. Despite the general economic crisis, NORDENIA DEUTSCHLAND Lohne is expected to post a successful fiscal 2009 primarily by expanding its clientele.
"Thanks to the larger space, we were able to create more effective and simplified processes while boosting employee motivation,” Werner Zerhusen, Managing Director of NORDENIA DEUTSCHLAND Lohne explains. "We also have the potential to expand further.” The company now has around 1,700 square meters available for production and 300 square meters for administration.
Founded in 1994 in Lohne, NORDENIA DEUTSCHLAND Lohne has seen stable and successful development over the past 15 years. Today it employs around 20 people. "The new site gives us the opportunity to increase productivity and lets us concentrate fully on the needs of our customers in the automotive industry,” stresses Andreas Picolin, Member of the Executive Board of NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG.
