VW certifies NORDENIA laminated composite

A first for NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG: The automobile manufacturer Volkswagen has provided official certification that the NORDENIA Group's product innovation NOR^®Shield AC (AntiCorrosion) corresponds to the criteria of the VW approval process for VCI packaging. The new kind of laminated composite is extremely effective in preventing corrosion and is based on VCI (volatile corrosion inhibitor) technology.

NOR^®Shield AC puts a protective layer on metal surfaces and thereby effectively prevents the packaged material from corroding due to contact with oxygen or water.

In comparison to conventional anti-corrosion solutions such as oil, paint, wax, paper, and film, NOR^®Shield AC offers several advantages. The product is especially suitable for the temporary protection of ferrous material and allows easy handling. The instantaneous set-up of the protective atmosphere does not require an incubation period between packaging and shipping and there is therefore no delay. Furthermore, the composite is ecologically friendly and can be recycled. With NOR^®Shield AC, no further corrosion protection emitter is needed in the packaging, leading to significant economy in cost and time.
