Hygiene Standards at an Excellent Level
NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG, a worldwide operating manufacturer of flexible packaging, technical films, and product components, has now had another of its sites certified according to the European norm DIN EN 15593 (“Management of hygiene in the production of packaging for foodstuffs”). The Spanish factory NORDENIA IBERICA Barcelona, which manufactures packaging for the food, hygiene, cosmetic, and detergent industries, successfully completed a three-day audit.
The DIN EN 15593 hygiene certificate was great news for NORDENIA IBERICA Barcelona (from left to right): Managing Director Fernando Rosell, Nuria Cañizares (Environmental Protection Assistant), Juan Ramón Flores (Integrated Management System Manager), Luis Santini (Technical Manager), Joan Fontdevila (Production and Maintenance Manager), and Mariano Herranz (Technology and Marketing Manager).
Dr. Ulrich Finkenzeller from the German Association for the Certification of Management Systems (DQS) certified the Spanish NORDENIA site for compliance with the requirements of a hygiene management system defined by the norm. With the audit result, NORDENIA IBERICA Barcelona reportedly ranks “at the upper level” of the companies so far inspected by the DQS.
Fernando Rosell, Managing Director of NORDENIA IBERICA Barcelona S.A., was happy with the result: “Our team has worked up to this success for almost three years. In the future, we will concentrate on not only maintaining this excellent level, but on further improving it. This way, we can fulfill the increasingly high requirements of our customers.”
