 Quality Has Priority
For NORDENIA, quality means more than just checking products at the end of the manufacturing process. All company sites are certified under ISO 9001:2000. This is a globally valid standard issued by the International Standardization Organization that lays down an extensive catalogue of requirements for quality management systems. Systems in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 not only measure the quality of the products and services, but also the quality of the processes that are required for planning and realizing the products and services. |
 Committed to Improvements
Typical for the standard ISO 9001:2000 is the process-oriented approach with the commitment to constant improvement. The work processes are defined in every company division, and each downstream process is regarded as the "customer" of the previous process. Overall, the benefit for the external customer is thereby in first place. The standard's requirements not only affect processes that contribute to the manufacture of a product, but also the sequences for planning, controlling, and monitoring processes, products, and services. |

 Certified Sites
By the end of the year 2005, NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG had all sites certified in the matrix process in accordance with ISO 9001:2000. During the process, the Quality Managers work together with the German Society for Certifying Management Systems (DQS), one of the world's most renowned certifying bodies. DQS monitors the successful safeguarding of and continuous improvement to the fixed quality standards at NORDENIA by means of regular check-ups, so-called audits, at the company's sites. The PDF version of the certificate is available on this page. |
 Internationally Recognized Hygiene Standards
NORDENIA attaches the greatest importance to hygiene and cleanliness During the production of films and packaging, and is oriented towards internationally recognized hygiene standards.
For example, sites that produce and process consumer packaging have already had the operational quality management certified in accordance with the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point system (HACCP). HACCP is used for preventive food safety. HACCP is required by law in the food industry in the European Union. Up to now, there have not been any binding regulations of this kind for the supplier industry. The certification is voluntary, and NORDENIA, as a supplier, has chosen to obtain it. |
