Laminating
In addition to printing, siliconizing, coating, and lacquering, the laminating process provides further alternatives to convert film products. In this process, NORDENIA combines different films from its own production program with outsourced materials.
Solvent-free Laminating
NORDENIA produces composites for extremely different applications by using a solvent-free laminating process and high-quality adhesives. This enables the company to optimally customize the film properties in accordance with the customers' requirements and their packing facilities. Contamination of the packing contents by paints or lacquers is ruled out by interleaving printing. In addition, films can be provided with barrier properties to suit the products (shelf life, smell barriers).
Laminating with Solvents
NORDENIA uses laminating adhesives containing solvents with sterilizable products, for example with pharmaceutical products, pet food and pre-cooked meals, or with mixed coffee drinks and beverage pouches. Films that are laminated in this manner are much more resistant to the ingredients of the packaged products.Hotmelt Laminating
NORDENIA uses the so-called hotmelt process when laminating elastic composites. In the solidified condition, a hotmelt adhesive retains the property of special elasticity. During this type of laminating, the adhesive is applied in a spraying process.
