Raw Materials Extrusion Printing and Coating Surface Processing Laminating Custom-made Production Printing and Coating The high quality of the printing is a trademark that has already won several awards for NORDENIA. NORDENIA makes use of the advantages of the flexographic printing process and combines it with a downstream gravure printing unit or gravure printing. As a result, high-quality products can be manufactured at low cost and flexibly. The advantage of the process is found mainly in the shorter leader times for the repro layout and in plate making. Flexographic Printing NORDENIA guarantees highly extravagant printed motifs in excellent quality by using the latest flexo printing presses. Motifs with up to ten colors can be realized. In addition, paints and cold-seal adhesive can be applied inline during the printing process for special requirements. The design of the printing presses enables the processing of oriented materials starting from 12 µm. A very high register accuracy is guaranteed even if different printing materials are used. Gravure Printing The copper gravure printing process enables particularly brilliant print qualities. With the help of the most up-to-date facilities, and thanks to close cooperation with the preliminary suppliers (reproduction and cylinder producers), NORDENIA realizes even highly extravagant printed motifs with up to nine colors during gravure printing. Paints and cold-seal adhesive can also be applied inline during the printing process for special requirements, for example candy bar wrappers. NORDENIA works with gravure printing presses that enable printing on the front and back from 8/1 colors to 5/4 colors. In the film range, printing of oriented materials starting from 12 µm can be realized. Coating NORDENIA uses coatings for plotter films or as high barriers for composites. The coatings are applied inline during the printing process. Siliconizing By interacting with the core competency in film extrusion, NORDENIA realizes individual and exacting product concepts. Siliconized films are used to cover self-adhesive products, for example the adhesive strips on a sanitary napkin. Siliconizing is realized inline during the printing process with the help of modern special equipment. Lacquering NORDENIA offers different types of lacquers for label and plotter films. This alters the surface of the film product. The type of lacquer is tailored individually to the downstream process, for examplefor use in book or offset printing. The lacquering process also runs inline during the printing process.
